The William Smith College tennis team lost to Skidmore 7-2 this afternoon at Bristol Field House. The Herons slip to 6-3 overall, while the Thoroughbreds improve to 10-3.

Sophomores Amanda Slack (Cape Elizabeth/Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Melissa Slack (Cape Elizabeth/Cape Elizabeth, Maine) were the lone winners for William Smith today. Amanda battled for a come-from-behind victory over Rachel Loeb at No. 2 singles 2-6, 7-5, 10-4, while Melissa did the same at No. 5, downing Laura Attley 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The Herons will be back in action on April 11, when they travel to St. Lawrence for a match at 11 a.m.
