AMHERST, Mass.—The Hobart College squash team split two matches on Day 1 of the Amherst/Mt. Holyoke/Smith Round Robin. The Statesmen defeated Hamilton 5-4, before falling to Amherst 8-1. Hobart now holds a 4-9 overall record.
Sophomore
Grant Bercari was the lone Statesmen to post two victories today, playing at No. 9. Against the Continentals, Hobart also got wins from sophomore

Daniel Pelaez, junior
Luke Esselen, and junior
Grant Palermo, at Nos. 1-4, respectively.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 24, at the Amherst/Mt. Holyoke/Smith Round Robin. Hobart will square off against Middlebury and Tufts.
