POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—The 25th-ranked Hobart squash team finished the second day of the Liberty League Championship Tournament hosted by Vassar College with a 9-0 loss to No. 16 St. Lawrence.
First-year
Timothy Dyer won his first game at the No. 4 spot over the Saints' William Campo 11-9, but then dropped his next three games 11-6, 12-10 and 11-7. Sophomore
Edgardo Gonzalez also won his first game at the No. 7 spot 12-10, but fell to St. Lawrence's Nathan Ticho in the next three.
The Statesmen will be back in action on January 14-16, when they compete in the 2011 Amherst/Mt. Holyoke/Smith Round Robin.
