GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith tennis team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end this afternoon. The nationally-ranked College of New Jersey swept the Herons 9-0.
At sixth singles, first-year
Remy Raevsky was the lone William Smith player to extend her match to three sets. She defeated first-year Lauren Balsamo in the first set 6-4, but fell 6-0 in the second and lost the super tie-breaker 10-7.
The Lions improved to 10-1 overall.
The Herons (6-2) will be back on the courts on March 31, when they host regionally-ranked Rochester (#13) at 4:30 p.m.
