ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The William Smith College tennis team swept RIT 9-0 today at the RIT Tennis Courts, improving to 9-3 on the season.

Joanie Hilton started the Herons off with 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Junior
Melissa Slack followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3, while senior
Shari Damon (6-0, 6-1), first-year
Remy Raevsky (6-0, 6-0), and first-year
Hallsey Leighton (6-0, 6-2) topped their opponents at Nos. 4, 5, and 6, respectively.
Hilton and sophomore
Jess McCue combined for an 8-0 win at first doubles. Amanda and
Melissa Slack teamed up to defeat their opponents at No. 2 doubles by the same score, and Raevsky joined sophomore
Katie Serock for an 8-1 victory at No. 3.
The Herons will be back on the courts on April 15, when they travel to Geneseo for a match at 4 p.m.
