GENESEO, N.Y.—The William Smith College tennis team earned its 10th win of the season with a 5-4 win over Geneseo today. The Herons now hold a 10-3 record, while the Blue Knights drop to 14-2.
Sophomores
Joanie Hilton and
Jess McCue started William Smith off with an exciting 9-7 win at first doubles. First-year
Remy Raevsky and sophomore
Katie Serock also picked up a doubles victory, defeating their opponents 8-5 at No. 3.
Hilton and Raevsky both recorded singles wins as well. Hilton won at No. 2 (6-2, 6-3), while Raevsky topped her opponent at No. 5 (6-2, 6-2).
Junior
Melissa Slack rounded out the victory for the Herons with a win at third singles. She dropped the first set 2-6, before battling back to win the next two, 7-5, 6-1.
William Smith will host Brockport on April 17 at 1 p.m.
