CANTON, N.Y.—The William Smith College tennis team fell to Skidmore 7-2 this afternoon in the Liberty League Tournament semifinal round. The Herons slip to 13-5 on the season, while the Thoroughbreds improve to 11-7 overall.
First-year
Hallsey Leighton recorded the lone singles win for William Smith. She defeated Delaney Scollan 6-3, 6-1 to earn her sixth singles victory of the season.
In doubles action, first-year
Remy Raevsky and sophomore
Katie Serock collected their team-high 11th win of the year. They teamed up to defeat Laura Attley and Scollan at No. 3, 8-5.
The third-seeded Herons will take on tournament host and fourth-seeded St. Lawrence in the third place match tomorrow, April 25, at 9 a.m.
