The Hobart College squash team posted a 1-2 record in the 2011 Yale Round Robin over the weekend. On Saturday, the Statesmen dropped their opening match to Colby, 6-3, but earned an 8-1 win over Connecticut College later that afternoon. Hobart dropped its final match to Wesleyan 7-2 on Sunday.
The Statesmen, ranked No. 25 in the most recent College Squash Association rankings,are now 3-10 this season. Against the No. 24 Mules, sophomore

Daniel Pelaez led Hobart with a 3-2 win at the top spot against No. 26 Connecticut College. Senior
Grant Palermo earned a 3-1 win at the No. 2 spot, and senior
Luke Esselen registered a 3-2 victory at No. 3. First-year

Carl Ranieri, and Sills defeated their opponents in three straight games at Nos. 4,5, and 9, respectively. At No. 7, Kent secured a 3-1 win, and at No. 8 first-year
William Boyle earned a 3-2 win.
On Sunday, against the No. 22 Cardinals, Kent and Sills battled for 3-2 victories at the No. 7 and No. 9 spots, respectively. Both Sills and Kent posted 3-0 marks for the weekend.
The Statesmen will be back in action Feb. 2, when they host Rochester at 6 p.m.
