RESULTS

ITHACA, N.Y.—
With the New York State Collegiate Rowing Championships cancelled due to flooding, the Hobart rowing team competed on the Cayuga Inlet against several teams from the Empire State. The Statesmen's varsity eight posted an impressive open water victory in a six-boat race.

Reynaldo Kelly, Max Swagler, Andrew Cobb, Jack Trimble, Gerry Samson, Harald Zurakowski, David Roberts, Peter Nettl, and Coty Burgess brought the varsity eight across the finish line in 6:00.8, more than five seconds ahead of runner-up Army and nearly seven seconds better than Marist. RIT was fourth, followed by Ithaca and Binghamton.

In the second varsity eight race, Hobart finished last in a four-boat race. The Statesmen covered the 2,000-meter course in 6:22.7. The Hobart novice eight was fourth out of six crews, logging a time of 6:29.7.

The Statesmen will be back on the water on Sunday, May 8, when they compete in the ECAC Championships in Worcester, Mass.
