WORCESTER, Mass.—The William Smith rowing team capped its regular season at the ECAC National Invitational Collegiate Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond today. The Heron varsity eight reached the grand final, while the varsity four compete in a finals only race.
The varsity eight, powered by
Kim Goral,
Liz Hafer,
Maggie Smith,
Lauren Blake-Whitney,

With all of the top six teams in the latest CRCA/USRowing coaches poll, the grand final boasted a power-packed line up. The top three finishers in the race matched the poll with top-ranked Williams winning in 6:45.177 followed by No. 2 Bates and No. 3 Wellesley. Both No. 5 Trinity (Conn.) and No. 6 Ithaca crossed the line ahead of the fourth-ranked Herons, who posted a time of 7:01.443.
