AMHERST, Mass.—The Hobart College squash team earned its first win of the 2012 portion of its schedule with a 9-0 sweep of Haverford tonight in the first day of the Amherst/Mt. Holyoke/Smith Round Robin. The Statesmen improved to 9-9 overall.

Corey Kabot led Hobart with an 11-6, 11-6, 11-9 win at the top spot over Haverford's Alex Spiliotes. At No. 2
Daniel Pelaez dropped his first game 10-12, but rallied to win his next three 11-6, 11-5, 11-4.

McGee O'Neil posted an 11-5, 11-5, 11-5 win at No. 3, junior
Edgardo Gonzalez earned an 11-3, 11-3, 11-6 victory at No. 5, and sophomore Will Boyle came out on top by scores of 11-8, 11-8, 11-3 at No. 6. Senior
Willis Stephens cruised to an 11-3, 11-5, 11-4 win at No. 8.

Oliver Katz rounded out the Hobart lineup with an 11-9, 4-11, 11-4, 11-8 win at No. 9 in his first match of the season.
The Statesmen will take on Amherst and Middlebury tomorrow, Jan. 21.
