The Hobart College football team will enter the NCAA Division III Football Championship ranked seventh in the nation in both the America Football Coaches Association poll and the D3football.com Top 25. It's the third straight week the Statesmen have been No. 7 in the AFCA ranking and marks a one spot jump in the D3football.com poll.
Hobart (10-0) capped its first undefeated regular season in 55 years with a 43-24 victory over Rochester in the Centennial Cup game. Sophomore defensive end

Conner Hartigan earned Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week honors, and first-year defensive end
Mark Guarino-Hyde was tabbed the Liberty League Rookie of the Week. Additionally, junior wide receiver
Yosh Karbowniczak earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll.
Coleman broke a pair of season records against the Yellowjackets to secure his third Defensive Performer of the Week award. He finished the game with five tackles, including 2.5 for a loss and two sacks. Coleman now has 24.5 tackles for a loss and 14.5 sacks, breaking season records that were set by Dave Russell in 1997 and 1996, respectively. He is second in the nation in tackles for a loss (2.5/g) and ranks third in sacks (1.61/g).
A three-time Rookie of the Week, Hartigan picked up his first Special Teams award after returning three kicks for 88 yards on Saturday. His 49-yard, fourth quarter kickoff return set up the Statesmen's fifth touchdown drive of the game and matched the longest return by a Statesman this season.
A three time Rookie of the Week as well, Guarino-Hyde shared team-high honors with eight tackles against Rochester. He also batted down a pass at the line of scrimmage. Guarino-Hyde has started every game this season and is fifth on the team in tackles with 39.
Karbowniczak had four receptions for a game- and career-high 140 yards against the Yellowjackets. He also punted three times for an average of 39.7 yards, dropping two inside the 20. Karbowniczak is second on the team in receptions (26), receiving yards (482) and receiving touchdowns (5).
Hobart earned its seventh NCAA postseason bid by winning the Liberty League Championship and an automatic berth in the 32-team field. The Statesmen will host Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champion Washington & Lee University (8-2) in the first round on Saturday, Nov. 17. Kickoff at Boswell Field is scheduled for noon.
