Results vs. Connecticut College
CLINTON, N.Y.—The Hobart College squash team lost two matches by scores of 8-1 this afternoon. The Statesmen fell to No. 23 Hamilton 8-1 in its first match of the day, and then dropped their second match 8-1 to No. 22 Connecticut College.
Hobart, who is ranked No. 27 in the most recent College Squash Association Rankings, is now 10-17 overall. The Statesmen will travel to take on Cornell tomorrow, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.
Against the Continentals, senior
Grant Bercari picked up Hobart's lone win at No. 7. He dropped his first game 5-11, but rallied to win the next three 11-6, 12-10 and 12-10.
Junior
Edgardo Gonzalez earned the only win for the Statesmen against the Camels. Gonzalez topped Jeremy Wong at No. 4 in a very competitive match 6-11, 11-2, 15-13, 7-11, 16-14. Against Connecticut College, Hobart fought hard with first-year
McGee O'Neil, and seniors
Kevin Kent and Bercari extending their matches at Nos. 3,5 and 7, respectively, to five games.
