The William Smith College tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over Nazareth in a match played on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House this afternoon. The Herons are now 7-3 overall, and the Golden Flyers are 8-8.
William Smith is ranked No. 19 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Herons swept doubles play to take a 3-0 lead. Sophomore

Greene registered a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 singles spot. Leighton downed her Nazareth opponent 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3. Junior
Haley Wolf blanked her competition 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. At No. 5,
Sydney Arsenault logged a 6-0, 6-1 victory. She leads the team with 10 singles wins this season. First-year
Charlotte Federowicz breezed to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6.
The Herons will be back in action on Saturday, April 13, when they host Cortland at 11 a.m.
