The Hobart College soccer team shut out Fredonia tonight, earning a 2-0 win in a non-league game played in Fredonia, New York. The Statesmen improve to 11-4-3 overall, while the Blue Devils finish the regular season with an 8-7-3 overall record.

Senior goalie
Mike Lucas played all 90 minutes in goal for Hobart and made six saves to earn his third shutout this year. It was the tenth shutout for the Statesmen this season. Hobart is unbeaten in its last seven games and has now logged three straight wins.

Sophomore
Sean Barry put the Statesmen on the scoreboard in the 38th minute. His goal came off assists from sophomore
Joe Busuttil and junior
Jacob Fox. It was Barry's second goal this fall. Senior
Oddmund Nesbakk capitalized on a penalty kick just 1:52 into the second half to make it 2-0. It was his second goal this year.

A.J. Grecco played the opening 64:49 in goal for the Blue Devils and made one save. Michael Schreiner came in for the final 25:11. Fredonia finished with a 12-10 edge in shots and a 7-1 lead in corners.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1, when they travel to take on RIT in a Liberty League contest and their final match of the regular season at 1 p.m.
