Jake McHenry notched a game-high four goals, but Brown University scored a 13-10 victory over the Statesmen at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. The Bears got goals from nine different players led by Dylan Molloy's hat trick.

Brown (3-1) had a slim 36-34 shot advantage and won the battle for ground balls 47-25 and faceoffs 20-7. Hobart held the edge in clearing (90%-80%) and extra-man (50%-33%).

Cam Stone added a game-high five points on a goal and four assists. The helpers raised his career total to 70, moving by
Kevin DeWall '00 into second place on the Statesmen Division I list. Nate Hill '05 holds the record with 79.
In addition to his three goals, the Bears got a game-high seven ground balls from Molloy. Kylor Bellistri handed out three assists and Brendan Caputo logged two goals and an assist. Jordan Schochet won 19-of-23 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls.

Caputo opened the scoring, but Hobart answered with three straight goals to take an early lead. Stone netted the first with sophomore
Cooper Stefaniak following suit just over a minute later. Sophomore
Matt Opsahl capped the run with an extra-man goal, assisted by junior
Zach Reed, at 3:55 of the first.

Molloy and Bellistri teamed up to make it 3-2, but Stone fed McHenry for a goal five seconds before the quarter expired to give Hobart a 4-2 lead after one.

Brown seized control of the game with a 9-2 run spanning the second and third quarters. The Bears opened the second quarter with four straight goals, capped by a man-down goal and an extra-man goal 10 seconds apart for a 6-4 lead. Hobart first-year
Max Romm scored his first collegiate goal to stop the run, but Brown got it back before the break, carrying a 7-5 lead into the locker room.

Schochet won the opening faceoff of the second half streaking straight to the cage, scoring just five seconds in. Reed got that one back at the 9:47 mark to make it 8-6, but the Bears rattled off five of the next six goals to build a 13-7 with 11:11 remaining.

The Statesmen got three consecutive extra-man goals late in the fourth quarter to close out the day's scoring. Hobart's four extra-man goals are the most for the program, since scoring four in the 2013 season opener against Siena.

Peter Zonino made 12 saves for the Statesmen while Jack Kelly turned back 10 shots for the Bears.

Hobart will be back in action on Tuesday, March 11, when the Statesmen wrap up a three-game road swing at Canisius. The game, which will be televised by Time Warner Cable Sports, is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
