The William Smith College tennis team dropped a match 7-2 to St. Lawrence today in Canton, N.Y. The Herons are now 10-4 this season, while the Saints improve to 15-3.
 
William Smith is ranked No. 17 in the Northeast Region in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, and St. Lawrence came in at No. 13.
 
The Herons were down 2-1 after doubles. The pair of senior Casey Nicoletti and sophomore Sydney Arsenault notched an 8-3 victory at No. 2.
 
St. Lawrence earned the win with victories at 1,2,3,5 and 6 singles. Sophomore Charlotte Federowicz topped her opponent 7-5, 1-6, 11-9 at No. 4.
 
The Herons will be back in action on Wednesday, April 16, when they travel to play at Geneseo at 3:30 p.m.
