The William Smith tennis team earned a 5-4 victory at Geneseo this afternoon. The Herons improve to 11-4 and served the Knights (15-4) their fourth loss this year.
 
William Smith came out of doubles play up 2-1 after wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Senior Casey Nicoletti and sophomore Sydney Arsenault posted an 8-5 win at the top spot. It was the pair's eighth straight win. Sophomore Kelley Hartmann teamed with sophomore Hannah Webster for an 8-6 win at No. 3.
 
The Herons clinched the overall victory with singles wins at the top three spots. Nicoletti gave William Smith a 3-1 advantage with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3. Arsenault won 7-6, 6-1 at the top singles spot and Wolf clinched the victory with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 triumph at No. 2.
 
William Smith will be back in action on Saturday, April 19, when it plays at Bard at 10 a.m.
