The Hamilton College women's tennis team edged William Smith College 5-4, snapping the Herons six-match win streak this afternoon on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House. William Smith is now 7-2 overall, while the Continentals improve to 10-3.
 
The Herons came out of doubles play ahead 2-1. First-years Hannah More and Ashley Lyon earned an 8-2 win at the top spot and sophomore Sydney Arsenault and senior Casey Nicoletti won 8-2 at No. 3.
 
More blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the top singles spot and junior Haley Wolf registered a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 4. Hamilton earned the overall victory with wins at Nos. 2,3,5, and 6 singles.
 
William Smith will be back in action on Sunday, April 6, when it hosts NYU at 10 a.m.
