All-Access VideoThe Hobart College lacrosse team will play its regular season finale on Saturday, April 26, when the Statesmen host Northeast Conference front-runner Saint Joseph's University on Boswell Field. The game will be televised by Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and is set to begin at 1:07 p.m.
The Statesmen are 3-2 in NEC play and 4-8 overall. Hobart has secured a spot in next week's NEC Tournament, although final seeding won't be determined until after Saturday's league games. The Statesmen will either be the No. 3 or No. 4 seed. Saint Joseph's (10-3, 5-0) has alread clinched the top seed in the tournament and will host next week's semifinals and final on May 1 and May 3.
This will be the third meeting between Hobart and SJU. The Statesmen won each of the previous two showdowns, 8-3 in 2008 and 12-7 in 2009. This will be the first game between the two schools as conference rivals (both are in their first season as associate members of the NEC) and the first on Boswell Field (the 2008 game in Geneva was played on McCooey Field).
The game will mark the final regular season home game for seniors

The
Hobart Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will continue its long-standing support of Rotary Camp Onseyawa with the annual "Your Buck Goes Here" fundraiser during the second quarter of today's game. Hobart student-athletes will be soliciting fan donations to Camp Onseyawa, which provides a camping experience for 8-16 year-old children with disabilities from Ontario, Seneca, Yates and Wayne counties and fosters independence and acceptance of others through social, recreational, and educational aspects of life.
At halftime, Hobart Athletics and the Statesmen Athletic Association will recognize the 1983, 1984, and 1985 Statesmen lacrosse teams as
Hobart Teams of Distinction. The 1983, 1984, and 1985 lacrosse teams captured the program's fourth, fifth, and sixth consecutive NCAA Division III national championships, a streak that eventually stretched to 12 straight titles, an unprecedented era of sustained dominance in men's lacrosse.
Following the Teams of Distinction ceremony, Hobart Athletics will recognize the outstanding academic achievements of its student-athlete over the past year. Since the spring 2013 season, Statesmen have collectively earned 72 awards for their combined excellence in the classroom and the athletic arena, including two Capital One first team Academic All-Americans (Football's
Michael Green and Basketball's Richie Bonney) and the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America of the Year for Division III Men's Basketball (Bonney).
