GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College soccer team, voted No. 15 in this week's NSCAA poll, used four second half goals to down Fredonia 5-1 in a non-league match played on Cozzens Field this afternoon. The Statesmen extend their win streak to six and improve to 12-2-2 overall.

White started the scoring 12:32 into the match. He broke into the box and fired his shot into the back of the net to give Hobart a 1-0 lead. Aaron Hayes answered for Fredonia in the 35th minute. He one-timed a cross from the left side by Ryan Ross to log his first goal of the season.

Acheampong put Hobart back on top in the 53rd minute. Poretz blasted a shot on goal that was saved by Fredonia goalie, James Ritchie, but the rebound went right to Acheampong who buried it to give the Statesmen the 2-1 advantage. In the 66th minute Acheampong struck again. Poretz once again set up the play, this time with a long lead pass up the middle. Acheampong finished with a high shot just under the crossbar for his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Just 4:28 later, White added his second goal of the afternoon on a low shot from the top of the box. It was his fifth tally this season. First-year
Mouhamed Diouf capped the scoring on a header from right out in front after a cross from sophomore
Nick Dosky in the 77th minute. It was Diouf's third goal this year.

The Blue Devils' best scoring chance of the second half came with just 2:38 left in regulation. Joey Vucic broke through for a one-on-one with sophomore keeper
Morgan Sawyer, who came into the game for the final 15:20. Sawyer laid out to deny the chance. He finished with two saves.

Senior goalie
Tyler Serafine played the opening 74:40 for Hobart. Noah Voss started the game in goal for Fredonia and played 21:18, recording three saves. James Ritchie came in for 27:54 and made two saves, but left the game with a red card. Parker Healy played the final 40:48 in goal for the Blue Devils and made three saves.

The Statesmen finished with a 28-7 advantage in shots and a 7-3 lead in corners.

Hobart will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 31, when it hosts RIT for its final Liberty League game at 1 p.m.
