Orlando, FLA. – The William Smith College tennis team collected its second straight win of its spring break trip with a 9-0 sweep of SUNY New Paltz this afternoon. With the win, the Herons improve to 2-1 this spring.

Haley Wolf and sophomore
Hannah More breezed to an 8-2 victory in the top spot. At No. 2, sophomore
Ashley Lyon and first-year
Michaelann Denton won 8-4. Junior
Sydney Arsenault and sophomore
Annie Venditti closed out doubles play with an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
More collected her second victory of the day at No. 1 singles. She bested her opponent 6-1, 7-6. Lyon's second victory of the match came in No. 2 singles. She notched a 6-4, 6-1 win. Wolf needed three sets to dispatch her Hawk opponent, 6-1, 3-6, 10-2. Denton cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 4, while Arsenault dropped only one game winning 6-0, 6-1. Playing at No. 6, Venditti notched a 6-1, 6-2 victory for the Herons.
William Smith will close out its spring break trip with a match against Colby-Sawyer on Thursday, March 17, at noon in Orlando, Florida. Â Â
