ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The William Smith College tennis team was edged 6-3 by Rochester this afternoon in a match contested inside the Goergen Athletic Center. The loss drops the Herons to 3-2 on the year while the Yellowjackets improve to 3-5.

Annie Venditti won 9-7 at No. 3 doubles. The duo improves to 3-0 this season.
The Yellowjackets logged wins at Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 5 to secure the overall victory. First-year
Michaelann Denton notched a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4. With the win, Denton improves to 5-2 on the year including a 2-0 mark at No. 4. Venditti dropped only one game winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6. She is 4-2 this season.
William Smith will be back in action on Saturday, March 28, when they travel to TCNJ. The match in Ewing, New Jersey, is slated to begin at noon.
