If Saint Joseph's (9-5, 5-0) beats Sacred Heart (6-6, 2-3) and the Mountaineers beat the Statesmen, the Mount will be the No. 4 seed. Hobart is already locked into the No. 2 seed. The Pioneers get the No. 4 seed with a win over the Hawks or a Statesmen victory on Saturday.
The Mountaineers are led by junior Justin Gosnell, who has a team-high 18 goals. Sophomore Bubba Johnson leads the team in assists with seven as well as 16 goals. In the crease, first-year Matt Vierheller has started 11 games and sports an 8.24 GAA and a .571 save percentage.
During the second quarter, members of the Hobart Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will go through the stands asking fans to support Your Buck Goes Here. The annual Hobart fundraiser supports Rotary Camp Onseyawa, a summer camp for children with disabilities. Established in 1955, the camp provides children with disabilities the opportunity to attend summer camp like so many other children. It fosters independence and acceptance of others through social, recreational and educational aspects of life. The camp is offered to children in Ontario, Seneca, Yates and Wayne counties, free of charge to their families. While at the camp, children can participate in a variety of activities such as crafts, drama, swimming, boating and much more.
