ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The William Smith College tennis team recorded a 9-0 Liberty League win over Bard this afternoon. The Herons improve to 8-8 on the season while Bard remains winless.
William Smith jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the match with a sweep of doubles play. The Herons collected three 8-0 victories. Sophomore

Taylor Ferrari collected 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 6 singles respectively. Denton defeated Beryl Taylor to improve to 17-2 this season. Ferrari bested Alice Chen to win her sixth straight match this spring. At. No. 1 singles, More picked up her second win of the afternoon, defeating Slagle 6-0, 6-1. Arsenault also netted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3. Venditti's second victory of the afternoon came at No. 4 singles. She bested Faye Forman, 6-0, 6-2. Cattie won at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1.
William Smith will be back in action tomorrow morning when they take on Union. The match in Schenectady, New York, is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.Â
