The Hobart College soccer team was tripped up by Plattsburgh, falling 2-0 in the 2015 Potsdam College Cup at SUNY Canton this afternoon. The Statesmen are now 1-1 this season.

The Cardinals improve to 2-0 this year. At 19:48 Alexis Archilla made it 1-0 for Plattsburgh. Then in the 70th minute Fabian Chaparro gave the Cardinals a 2-0 advantage on a high curved shot that slid under the crossbar.

Tyler Serafine played all 90 minutes in goal for Hobart and made one save. Mitchell Jordan played the entire match in goal for the Cardinals and finished with two saves. Plattsburgh finished with an 11-8 edge in shots, but the Statesmen held the upper hand in corners (6-1).

Hobart will be back in action tomorrow, Sept. 6, when it takes on host Potsdam in Canton, N.Y., at 1:30 p.m.
