For the third game in a row, the Hobart College soccer team won in overtime, this time topping Vassar 3-2. Senior
Adrian Colmenares notched the game-winning goal on a penalty kick with 14 seconds left in the first overtime.

With their fourth straight win, the Statesmen improve to 7-4-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the Liberty League. Hobart is now 4-0-3 in overtime games this fall.

Vassar opened the scoring 2:11 into the match. Alex Gonzales scored off an assist from Tanner Sands to take a 1-0 lead. Junior
Joseph Escamilla notched his first goal of the season to tie the match up at 1-1 in the 43rd minute. Sophomore
Sam Farman earned the assist.

Nate Cary gave the Statesmen the lead in the 52nd minute. However, just under six minute later, Jose Novas sent home a rebound to take back the lead for the Brewers.

Colmenares' overtime tally was his second goal the season. The other goal also came on an overtime penalty kick.

The Statesmen finished with a 16-7 advantage in shots and a 10-3 lead in corners.Sophomore
Alec Kaminer finished with four saves in goal for Hobart. Matt Marcelino made three saves for Vassar.

Hobart is back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 18, when they travel to take on Cortland in a non-league game at 7:30 p.m.
