The Hobart College soccer team secured the 2016 Liberty League regular season title with a 1-0 overtime victory at RIT this afternoon. Junior
Adrian Colmenares scored the game winner, clinching Hobart's fifth straight overtime victory.

The Statesmen are now 6-0-3 in overtime games this fall. Hobart is 9-5-3 overall and 6-1-1 in the Liberty League. RIT falls to 5-9-3 overall and 1-6-1 in conference play.The Statesmen will be the top seed in the Liberty League tournament and host No. 4 seed Skidmore for a tournament semifinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 2 on Cozzens Field.

Colmenares tallied the game winner in the 97th minute off an assist from first-year
Nate Cary for the Statesmen. It's Colmenares' third game-winning goal this season.
The Tigers had their share of scoring chances. In the first half, Ben Frenett had a chance off a free kick. Gene Sicoli sent a service into the box with a little over 12 minutes to play in the half. Frenett ran onto the service and headed a ball on target, but Statesmen sophomore goalie
Alec Kaminer was there to make the stop and keep the game scoreless. Dante DeSisti had a chance with time winding down in the first half on a nice build-up by the Tigers. DeSisti finally got his feet sorted, but his shot was blocked by a host of Hobart defenders.
RIT had a another scoring opportunity with a little over two minutes to play when Sicoli found Ahmed Alrefaei with a ball down the channel. Alrefaei fired a one-timer, but Kaminer came off his line and blocked the shot aside.
In the overtime, Colmenares and Cary worked the give-and-go to perfection. Colmenares fed Cary, who returned the favor, feeding Colmenares who fired into the net to give the Statesmen the win.

Shots were 10-8 in favor of the Statesmen, while RIT took six corner kicks to four for Hobart. Kaminer got the win in net for Hobart, making two saves. Peter Cinibulk took the loss in net for RIT.
