ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The William Smith College tennis team started its spring break trip with a 7-2 win over Springfield College in Florida this afternoon. With the win, the Herons extend their win streak to three and are 4-2 on the season.

Katarina Kostovic defeated Emily Etter and Ariana Shemms 8-2 at No. 2 doubles to begin the match. Junior
Hannah More and sophomore
Michaelann Denton won their third-straight match in the top spot 8-3. Denton and More are 4-1 at No. 1 doubles this year. At No. 3, sophomore

Connie Froass posted an 8-6 win.
In singles play, More notched her second win of the day at No. 1 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over the Pride's Rachel London. More is now 4-1 at No. 1 and a team best 8-3 in singles play this year. At No. 2, Greenberg posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Rachel Litchfield. Denton and Kostovic notched their second wins of the day for the Herons with straight set victories at Nos. 3 and 4 respectively. Denton won 6-0, 6-4, while Kostovic collected her first singles win of the season, 6-3, 6-2. Springfield collected wins at No. 5 and No. 6.
William Smith will be back on the courts tomorrow when they take on Calvin College in Orlando, Fla. The match with the Knights is scheduled to begin at noon.
