Hobart hosts Syracuse on TWC under the lights

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College lacrosse team will host nationally ranked Syracuse University under the lights on Boswell Field on Wednesday, April 6. It will be the 102nd meeting between the Central New York rivals and the 31st Kraus-Simmons Trophy game.
 
The 7 p.m. game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel. In addition to Time Warner's coverage, WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3 in Geneva) will broadcast the game live. Fans can also watch online with All-Access Video (New York residents will not be able to watch All-Access due to the agreement with TWCS) and live stats.
 
Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for children 12 and under. Parking in the Boswell Field lot (purple on the map below) is reserved for Statesmen Athletic Association members and the media. General fan parking is available on campus in the Odell's South, Barn, and Medbury lots, as well as at the Geneva Centre (orange on the map). Fan parking at nearby businesses or in the Odell's North lot (red on the map) is prohibited and cars may be towed at the owner's expense.

At halftime, Hobart and William Smith Colleges will celebrate the more than 230 academic accolades earned by Statesmen and Heron student-athletes over the past year as well as recognize the members of the Faculty-Athletic Fellows program.
 
Since 1986, the Statesmen and Orange have played for the Kraus-Simmons Trophy, which honors National Lacrosse Hall of Fame coaches Babe Kraus of Hobart and Roy Simmons Sr. of Syracuse. The showdown will be the 31st Kraus-Simmons Trophy game, with the Statesmen prevailing in 1986, 2006, and 2013.
 
Hobart enters the game with a 5-4 record. Junior attackman Frank Brown leads the offense with 20 goals and five assists for 25 points. Sophomore faceoff specialist J Andrew Spallanzani has won 59 percent of his faceoffs and leads the team with 27 ground balls. Junior defenseman Arik Andreen sports a team-high 15 caused turnovers. In goal, junior Jackson Brown is 5-4 with a 9.44 goals against average and a .485 save percentage.
 
The Orange are 5-3 and ranked 10th in the coaches poll and ninth in the media poll. Senior attackman Dylan Donahue paces the offense with 34 points on 14 goals and 20 assists. Junior Ben Williams is SU's top faceoff man with a .607 success rate and a team-high 55 ground balls. Senior defenseman Brandon Mullins has a team best 12 caused turnovers. Senior goalie Warren Hill is 5-3 with a 10.06 GAA and a .426 save percentage.
