MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Hobart College squash team was bested by Middlebury 9-0 this evening. The loss drops the Statesmen to 2-5 on the season.
The Panthers, who were ranked 15th in the latest Dunlop Men's College Squash Team Rankings, took seven of the nine matches 3-0. Jacob Ellen clinched the overall victory for Middlebury with an 11-4, 11-2, 11-2 win in the No. 2 spot. Juniors
Terrance Rose and
Divine Wing took their matches to five games at No. 4 and No. 6 respectively. Rose was edged 11-4, 7-11, 1-12, 11-9, 11-5 by William Cembalest while Wing lost 8-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-2, 11-7.
Hobart will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Waterville, Maine to take on Colby College. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Middlebury will return to action on Saturday when they take on Franklin & Marshall and Dickinson at Franklin & Marshall.
