GENEVA, N.Y. – The Hobart College squash team was defeated by Cornell 9-0 at the Smith Squash Center this afternoon. With the loss the Statesmen fall to 3-8 on the season.
The Big Red, who were ranked 10th in the latest Dunlop Men's College Squash Team Rankings, collected 3-0 victories in five of the nine matches as it improves to 5-1 on the season. First-year

Josh Oakley took the first game 11-5 but lost the next three to the Cornell's Harry Freeman.
Hobart will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, when it travels to Northampton, Mass., for the Pioneer Valley Invitational. The Statesmen will take on the University of Western Ontario at 9 a.m., and then Connecticut College at 3:30 p.m. Hobart will be back at the Smith Squash Center on Sunday, Jan. 22, when it hosts Drexel at noon.
