Hobart College senior
Bobby Sokol scored the game-winning goal with 6:22 left in regulation to secure a 3-2 win over Elmira for the Statesmen hockey team in a non-conference contest played in Skaneateles, N.Y., tonight. Hobart extended its unbeaten streak to eight games.

Bo Webster led Hobart with two assists. First-year
Alexander Connal made 31 saves in 59:40 in goal. Connal is now 7-0-2 in goal this season.

Jonas Toupal started the scoring for Hobart with 2:30 left in the opening period. Webster earned the assist. Elmira answered scoring the first goal of the second period. Eddie Nolan tied up the game with a power-play tally after passes from Spencer MacLean and Andrew Pucci. First-year Julian Denicourt responded with a power-play goal for Hobart. Sophomore

The Soaring Eagles did not let up, tying the game at 2-2 6:07 into the third period. Mitch Atkins logged the goal and Kevin DiMagno earned the assist. Sokol found the back of the net to clinch the win for Hobart after passes from junior

Each team finished 1-for-4 on the power play. The Statesmen held a 49-33 advantage in shots. Sal Magliocco made 46 saves in goal for Elmira.

Hobart will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 24, when they travel to take on Geneseo in another non-league game at 7 p.m.
