The Hobart College soccer team dropped a non-league game 1-0 to Utica at the Pioneers' Gaetano Stadium tonight. The Statesmen are now 7-4-4 overall.

Utica improved to 7-9-2 this year. Andrew Ruyack scored what proved to be the game winner for the Pioneers in the 61st minute. His header goal came off an assist from Tucker Marvin.

Morgan Sawyer played all 90 minutes in goal for Hobart and finished with two saves. Jonathan Side made six saves and earned the shutout in goal for Utica.

The Statesmen finished with a 13-4 advantage in shots, including a 5-1 edge in the second half. Hobart also held a 4-2 lead in corners.

Hobart will host St. Lawrence for a Liberty League contest, and its final game of the regular season, on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m.
