The Hobart College soccer team played through double overtime to a 1-1 tie with Clarkson in a Liberty League game played in Potsdam, N.Y., today. It's the sixth time this season the Statesmen have gone to overtime.

Hobart is now 1-1-4 in overtime this year. The Statesmen are 4-2-4 overall and 2-0-3 in the Liberty League. Clarkson is 5-5-1 this season and 1-2-1 in conference play. It was the Golden Knights' second straight OT game and third this fall.

Nick Dosky struck first for Hobart. He scored his first goal of the season 22:35 into the match. Henry Gomez answered for the Golden Knights in the 64th minute. His header goal came off an assist from Mack Walton.

Neither team was able to net the game winner through the remainder of regulation or in the 20 minutes of overtime. Hobart had a 2-1 advantage in shots in the first overtime, and neither team got a shot off in the second overtime period.

The Statesmen held a 14-7 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in corners. Senior
Morgan Sawyer played all 110 minutes in goal for Hobart and finished with three saves. Ian Roeloffs made seven saves in goal for Clarkson.

The Statesmen are back in action on Friday, Oct. 13, when they travel to take on Union in another Liberty League match at 4 p.m.
