GENEVA, N.Y. – The 25th-ranked Hobart College squash team was defeated by 13th-ranked Navy 9-0 at the Smith Squash Center this afternoon. The loss drops the Statesmen to 5-11 on the season.
The Midshipmen (16-5) won seven of the nine matches 3-0. Juniors
Terrance Rose and
Jack Shannon fought hard but fell 3-1 at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Rose lost to Senen Ubina 11-8, 11-8, 12-14, 11-9 while Shannon dropped the closest match of the day to Owen Davis, 11-13, 18-16, 11-9, 13-11.

Hobart will return to action this weekend at the 2017 Liberty League Championship in Rochester, N.Y. The Statesmen will open the tournament tomorrow afternoon against Bard at 2 p.m.
