GENEVA, N.Y.-The William Smith College tennis team defeated Nazareth 8-1 in a non-conference match at the HWS Tennis Center this afternoon. With the win, the Herons improve to 8-6 on the year and 4-2 at home.

The Herons swept singles play to win their eighth match of the year. More topped Jean McCarthy 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles to extend her winning streak to four matches. She is now 11-8 in her senior campaign. Perron collected her team-leading 13th win of the year with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Allison Friends at No. 2. The win was her first of year at No. 2 singles. Alex Greenberg extended her win streak to four matches with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Elizabeth Karstedt at No. 4.
