GENEVA, N.Y.-The William Smith College tennis team defeated Cortland 9-0 in a non-conference match in Bristol Field House this afternoon. The win improves the Herons to 7-5 on the year.

Katarina Kostovic edged Mia Hayes and Nikaylah Williams 8-7 (7-3). More and Kostovic, who are the Northeast Region's 15th-ranked Doubles Team, are now a team best 8-2 in doubles play.

William Smith won all six singles matches in straight sets. More defeated Hayes 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. More is 9-8 on the year, including a 6-6 mark at the top of the lineup for the Herons. Denton defeated Nikaylah Williams 6-1, 6-3 in the second spot. Perron collected her team leading 12th win of the season with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3. Perron is 6-3 in the third spot of the lineup.
