ITHACA, N.Y.-The 25th-ranked Hobart College squash team was defeated by 16th-ranked Cornell 7-2 at the Belkin Squash Courts this evening. The loss drops the Statesmen to 8-5 on the season.

The Big Red won five of their seven points 3-0, including wins at Nos. 1, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Jordan Brail and Illia Presman won their matches at No. 2 and No. 3, 3-1, respectively.

Divine Wing and sophomore
Ilyas Khan notched victories for Hobart. Wing is a team-best 8-5 this season, playing in the middle of the lineup. Wing defeated Alex Jung 9-11, 11-5, 7-11, 12-10, 11-8, at No. 5. Khan improves to 7-4 on the year with his win at No. 4. He edged Ben Francis 11-7, 8-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-9. Khan is 2-0 at No. 4 this season.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Friday at The Smith Squash Center. Hobart will host Western Ontario at 2 p.m.
