Statesmen compete at Navy Round Robin

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The Hobart College squash team was in action at the 2018 Navy Round Robins today. The Statesmen were defeated by 16th-ranked Navy and ninth-ranked George Washington. Hobart is now 3-2 on the season.
 
Hobart opened the tournament against the host Midshipmen. Navy won all three matches by the score of 3-0.  First-year Cameron Temoyan was locked in a tight battle with Dylan Sweeney but was defeated 11-7, 11-8, 11-6. Senior Josh Oakley played at No. 1 and was bested by Jack Lentz 11-8, 11-5, 11-4.
 
In the second match of the day, Hobart took on the Colonials. George Washington won eight of the nine matches 3-0 First-year Mohamed Abdelhafez won the first game of his match against Salim Khan but was defeated 8-11, 11-6, 11-3, 11-2.
 
Hobart will be back in action next Saturday, Nov. 17, when they take on Williams College. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at Cornell University.
