ORLANDO, Fla.-The Hobart College tennis team used four singles wins to rally past Hope 5-4 at the USTA National Campus this afternoon. Today's match was the first of four matches in Florida for the Statesmen. With the win, Hobart improves to 2-2 on the season.

The Flying Dutchmen (2-5) jumped out to a 2-1 lead thanks to a pair of doubles wins. Hope's Mark VanderStoep and Danny Kroeze won 8-3 at No. 2 while Justin Folkert and Carter Smiley won 8-5 at No. 3. Junior

Alan Dubrovsky posted an 8-5 win at No. 1 to earn the Statesmen's lone point in doubles play. Salita and Dubrovsky are a team best 8-2 in doubles play this year, including a 2-1 record at No. 1.

Harry Nichols tied the match at 2-2 with a 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 victory over Justin Folkert in the No. 6 spot. Nichols is now 3-2 on the season. Salita picked up his sixth win of the season, besting Kroeze, 6-1, 6-3 in the top spot. Junior
Jonathan Atwater put Hobart up 4-2 with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 over Hope's Timothy Roe. Atwater is now 7-2 on the year and 2-0 in the third spot of the Statesmen's lineup. Dubrovsky clinched the overall victory for Hobart, topping VanderStoep 6-1, 2-6, 10-8 at No. 2. Dubrovsky is a team best 10-2 in singles play this season, including a 2-0 mark in the second spot in the lineup.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Wednesday, March 21, when they take on 28th-ranked Denison. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. at the USTA National Campus.
