ORLANDO, Fla.-The Hobart College tennis team dropped a non-conference match to No. 28 Denison 8-1 at the USTA National Campus this afternoon. The Statesmen fall to 2-3 on the year and are 1-1 in Orlando.

The Big Red (4-1) took a 2-1 lead in the match after doubles play. Denison won 8-1 at No. 3 and 8-3 at No. 2. First-year

Jonathan Atwater edged Mitchell Thai and Vlad Rotnov 8-6 at No. 2. It was Anderson and Atwater's first victory as a duo this spring.

The Big Red won all six singles matches in straight sets. Jacob Dennen clinched the overall victory for Denison with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6. Junior
Jonah Salita battled tough at No. 1 for the Statesmen but was edged by Vlad Rotnov 7-6 (8-6), 6-0.

Hobart will conclude its Florida swing tomorrow with a pair of matches. The Statesmen will take on Colorado College at 10 a.m. and then battle Division I at 6:30 p.m.
