GENEVA, N.Y.-The William Smith College tennis team cruised to a 9-0 non-conference win over Stevens Institute of Technology in Bristol Field House this afternoon. With the win, the Herons improve to 5-2 on the season while the Ducks fall to 9-7.

Dina Rigas bested Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra 8-3 at No. 1. Denton and Rigas collected their team-leading sixth doubles win of the season and are 4-3 in the top spot of the lineup. Sophomores

Allie Perron notched an 8-2 win over Sydney Zoretic and Nicole Badalyan. First-years
Charlotte Engebrecht and
Katelyn Nguyen wrapped up doubles play, topping Makenna Sargis and Jill Hawden 8-2 at No. 3.
The Herons continued their strong play in the singles matches, winning five of the six matches in straight sets. Rigas dropped only one game as she posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. The win was Rigas' fourth of the season. Junior
Alex Greenberg notched her fourth win of the season, besting Joilin Gomez 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6. In the top spot, Denton defeated Julia Earl 6-1, 7-6 (7-5). First-year
Charlotte Engebrecht won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3, while sophomore
Kate Foley posted a 6-3, 6-0 win in the second spot.
In the closest match of the day, sophomore
Leland Barclay rallied to beat Chelsea Braithwaite 4-6, 6-4, 10-7. With the win, Barclay is a team-best 8-1 in singles play this season.
William Smith will be back in action on Wednesday, March 28, when it hosts Rochester. The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin a 4 p.m.
