SALISBURY, Md.- The Hobart College soccer team and St. Mary's College battled through 110 minutes of play to tie 0-0 at the Elmer Lord Classic this afternoon. The Statesmen are now 1-0-1 on the season while the Seahawks are 0-0-2 to start their season.

Alec Kaminer played all 110 minutes in goal for Hobart and finished with seven saves as he posted his second consecutive shutout to start the season. Christian Reyes played all 110: minutes in goal for St. Mary's and made four saves.

The Seahawks' Khalid Balogun had two chances to win the game late in the second overtime but Kaminer stopped him on both attempts.

The Seahawks held a 19-16 edge in shots and held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
After the tournament, Hobart was crowned champions, posting a 1-0-1 overall record. Kaminer was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Hobart will continue its season-opening three game road trip next Saturday, Sept. 8, when it travels to Rochester. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Fauver Stadium. The Yellowjackets were ranked ninth in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
