ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The Hobart College soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to three games with a 3-0 win over Bard in a Liberty League match played on the Raptor's Ferrari Field this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen improved to 3-4-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the Liberty League this year.

Hobart opened the scoring in the eighth minute when junior
Tristan Cornell Roberts scored his second goal in as many games. The strike was set up by a long crossing pass from senior
Derrick Acheampong, who found Cornell Roberts streaking toward the goal. Roberts collected the pass in stride, running down the right side of the field and beat Bard's keeper into the top right corner of the goal.

The Statesmen doubled their lead in the 34th minute when senior
Alex Weisbein deposited his second goal of the season in the back of the net. He collected a rebound in the box and buried the shot behind Logan Leppo. Junior
Mike Goulart made it 3-0 twenty seconds later. A Hobart player was brought down in the box and the Statesmen were awarded a penalty kick. Goulart stepped up and converted for his first goal of the season.

Senior
Alec Kaminer played the opening 81 minutes in goal for Hobart making a single save. First-year Victor Rockki did not face a shot in his first nine minutes of action. Leppo made eight saves in 90 minutes in goal for the Raptors (3-7-1, 0-3-0).

Hobart finished the game with a 24-5 edge in shots and with a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Statesmen return to Cozzens Field to begin a four-game home stand on Wednesday, Oct. 3. Hobart will host Ithaca in a Liberty League match at 4:30 p.m.
