ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The second-ranked William Smith Soccer team used six different goal scorers to knock off Bard 6-0 at the Lorenzo Ferrari Soccer and Lacrosse Complex this afternoon. With their eighth straight win, William Smith is now 12-1-1 overall and 8-0-0 in Liberty League play.

William Smith's victory combined with RIT's 3-3 tie with Union clinched the Heron's 13th straight Liberty League regular season title.

Senior
Elizabeth Moore opened the scoring for William Smith in the fourth minute. She picked up a bouncing ball in the box, deked around a defender and fired the shot into the upper left corner of the cage. It was Moore's third goal of the season. The Herons broke the game open with three goals in 10 minutes late in the first half. First-year
Julia Berg started the run. She collected a cross from junior
Maialen Martinez at the penalty dot and chipped it into the upper right corner. It was Berg's first collegiate goal. Five minutes later, first-year
Seneca Blakely-Armitage connected on her third goal of the season. Sophomore
Janne Knieke was credited with an assist on the goal. In the 44th minute, junior
Charlotte Carrau notched her first collegiate goal to give William Smith a 4-0 lead. She collected a rebound at the top of the 18-yard box and blasted a shot into the lower left corner of the cage.

In the 58th minute, senior Pheobe Wade extended the lead to 5-0 with her second goal of the season. She dribbled the ball into the box and slid a shot across the goal line. Sophomore
Sarah Gray wrapped up the scoring with her second goal of the season. Knieke was credited with an assist on the goal.

William Smith dominated the stat sheet, finishing the game with a 23-2 advantage in shots and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.

Amanda Kesler and
Justine Pearson each played 45 minutes in goal for the Herons and were not called upon to make a save. Abigail Stanley and Skylar Farmer each played 45 minutes in goal for Bard, combining for nine saves.

William Smith will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when it wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule. The Herons will take on Mt. St. Mary's College in Newburgh, N.Y., at 1 p.m.
