The Hobart College squash team will be back in action this weekend, Feb. 2-3, when it travels to Canton, N.Y., for the 2019 Liberty League Championship hosted by St. Lawrence.

The Statesmen will play two matches on Saturday and two on Sunday at the Saints' Robie Squash Center. Hobart will open the tournament against No. 3 Rochester at noon. The Statesmen will then take on Bard at 3 p.m. On Sunday, Hobart will play Vassar at 9 a.m. and the hosts, No. 12 St Lawrence, at 11 a.m.

The Statesmen enter the weekend with a 4-9 overall record and are ranked 28th in the latest College Squash Association Team Rankings. First-year
Mohamed Abdelhafez is a team best 8-5 overall. He is 3-2 in the No. 1 spot and 5-3 in the No. 2 spot. Sophomore

The Yellowjackets are 9-2 this season. Ashley Davies has played in all 11 matches this season. He is 11-0 in dual matches, including a 10-0 record at No. 1.

The Raptors, who are ranked 38th in the nation, bring an 8-5 overall record into this weekend's action. Rhys Nordstrom has played nine matches in the No. 1 spot, recording a 5-4 overall record.

Vassar is No. 55 in the latest ranking and is 3-9 this season. Travers Parsons-Grayson is a team best 6-5 overall, playing in the middle of the lineup for the Brewers. Caden Bruber has played 10 matches in the top spot and is 3-7.

St. Lawrence enters the weekend with an overall record of 2-6. Mohamed El Gawarhy has played at No. 1 in seven of the Saints' eight matches and is 5-2. Belal Nawar leads the team with six wins.

Hobart was 2-2 at last year's championship. The Statesmen beat Vassar and Bard 9-0 and lost to Rochester and St. Lawrence 9-0.
