NEW HAVEN, Conn.-The Hobart College squash team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Haverford in its first round match of the College Squash Association Conroy Cup at Yale University's Brady Squash Center this evening. The Statesmen advance to the semifinals where they will face Colby tomorrow, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m.

Twenty-seventh ranked Hobart (8-11), which is the third seed in the Conroy Cup, collected 3-0 victories in four spots and 3-1 victories in three spots to secure a spot in the semifinals.

Josh Oakley improved to 8-2 on the season knocking off the Fords Davis Chase 11-6, 11-7, 11-3 in the No. 1 spot. First-year
Mohamed Abdelhafez continued his strong rookie season, cruising past James Dougherty 11-3, 11-6, 11-7 at No. 2. Abdelhafez is a team best 12-7 this season with a 7-3 record in the No. 2 spot. First-years
Michael Mulholland and
Cameron Temoyan also secured 3-0 sweeps at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Mullholland bested Keil Reedich 11-7, 11-7, 11-8 in the fourth spot and Temoyan topped Yash Singh 11-8, 14-12, 11-3 in the fifth spot. It was Mulholland and Temoyan's eighth win of the season.

Quinn Udy earned his eighth win of the season defeating Wallace Miller 11-7, 11-13, 11-3, 16-4 in the No. 3 spot. Udy is a perfect 4-0 at No. 3 this season. First-year
Eric Molina slipped past Ryan Dukarm 11-7, 8-11, 11-4, 11-7 in the seventh spot. Molina is now 8-8 on the season. Junior
Joshua Pugliese earned a 12-10, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8 win over Aaron Witkin in the ninth spot. The victory was Pugliese's seventh of the season.

Cristian Escalona bested Alden Weinberg 11-7, 11-4, 5-11, 5-11, 11-7 in the No. 8 spot.
