GENEVA, N.Y.-The William Smith College tennis team defeated RIT 5-4 in a Liberty League match in Bristol Field House this afternoon. Today's game was the Heron's first conference match of the season.

RIT kept the match close with singles wins at Nos. 2, 4, and 6. Perron defeated Ying 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot. Foley bested Ginster 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 3 spot. Sophomore
Dina Rigas finished with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Casalnova.

William Smith will be back in action next Tuesday, March 18, when they travel to Orlando, Florida for three matches. The first match of the trip will be against New Paltz.
