Orlando, Fla. — The William Smith College tennis team defeated George Fox University 8-1 this morning. The Herons are now 2-2 overall.

Maggie Bonomo and sophomore
Dina Rigas bested Taylor Morris and Jillian Studer 8-2 at No. 1. Juniors
Allie Perron and
Kate Foley tallied a win 8-4 in the No. 2 spot. Sophomores
Katelyn Nguyen and
Charlotte Engebrecht won their fourth straight doubles match. Nguyen and Engebrecht notched a win 8-4 over Alyssa Byde and Emily Brink.
The Herons clinched the match in singles play. Sophia Lawrence had the lone point for the Bruins. Perron bested Studer 7-6, 6-0 at No. 1. Foley won her third straight singles match. Foley notched a point 6-4, 6-2 against Search. Danielle Brown fell to Rigas 6-4, 6-2. Junior
Leland Barclay forced a third set besting Morris 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 at No. 5. Barclay is 8-3 overall this season. Senior
Alex Greenberg tallied a win 7-5, 3-6, 10-8 at No. 6.
William Smith will be back in action this afternoon at 3 p.m. They will face Pacific University in Orlando, Fla.
